nyctransit.us is an independent website that helps people get around New York City by subway, bus, commuter rail and ferry. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) or any other transit operator.

How we work

• Live and schedule data come from public feeds published by the MTA and other operators. Our servers download them, store them and compute trips on our own server. See data sources.
• Guides (airports, fares, ferries, Citi Bike, accessibility) are written from official sources only. Each page lists its sources and the date we last checked them. When we cannot confirm a fact on an official page, we leave it out.
• No paid placement: we do not accept payment to rank a service or rewrite a recommendation.
• Our own design: our logo and line badges are our own, and our maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap data. We do not use agency logos, official route symbols or official maps.

nyctransit.us is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the MTA, MTA New York City Transit, the Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, NJ TRANSIT, Lyft/Citi Bike, NYC Ferry or the NYC Department of Transportation. Their names are used only to describe their services. Transit data may not be real time and is provided as is; for official information, use the operators' own channels.
